ACLU bail reform lawsuit, then restoring Florida’s ecosystems on Peace & Justice, Weds. Dec 1 at 9am.

Written by on Monday, November 29, 2021

This Wednesday, December 1 at 9am, we’ll talk to Benjamin Stevenson of the Florida ACLU. He’s one of the attorneys who filed the ACLU class-action lawsuit recently on behalf of eleven people being held in Manatee and Sarasota jails. The suite seeks appeals court action on the bail amounts that the lawsuit says violates their due process rights.

Then we’ll chat with Sean Patton of Stocking Savvy, an environmental consulting firm passionate about using ecological principles and native species to restore and protect Florida’s ecosystems, especially in the man-made ponds, lakes and stormwater retention systems which are supposed to filter nutrients and pollutants flowing downstream.
