After special counsel Robert Mueller indicted 13 Russian nationals for meddling in the 2016 election, the White House finally had to acknowledge that meddling did occur and that Russians do exist and were involved. While they issued sanctions this week, the Republican-led Federal Elections Commission (FEC) is saying rules to prevent it from happening again can’t be ready for the 2018 midterms.  Craig Holman (above),  Government Affairs Lobbyist in Public Citizen’s Congress Watch Division  begs to differ. He is joining Steve and Lew to detail the statement he made  imploring the commission to get this done by 2018, as the threat is real and growing.

Later, Mel Goodman, author, former CIA analyst and international relations expert will  join us to sort out the fall out and potential impact of the firing of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, the appointing of CIA director Mike Pompeo as the new Secretary of State, and appointing Gina Haspel to head the CIA whose previous role with that agency was overseeing the torture program.
