Florida League of Women Voters First Vice-President Patti Brigham (above) is joining Steve and Lew this week to talk about the League’s ongoing crusade to reduce gun violence in the state. She is the co-chair of the Florida Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence.
Later, Andrew Gause, author and monetary historian, will talk about the recent buzz about Universal Basic Income (UBI) which would be a plan that pays all adults in the country about $12,000 per year, no strings attached. Supported by high tech executives such as Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, the concept is touted as a way for the economy to compensate for the inevitable loss of jobs to automation by allowing people the freedom to retrain and keep money flowing into the economy.
