Reviews from this recording:
REVIEW: getting better
Probably the best of the three nights. Still some wierd song transitions and
blown lyrics but, good energy. Just OK with me.
REVIEW: 11-8-87
Good show but not one of the best of’87. IMO
Good remaster by Charlie. A little thin on bass.
REVIEW: Spanish Jam
Really don’t think they were playing them at all during this period.
Alot in the early/mid 80s. A few in the 90s. Noteable for that alone. I love
1987. The year I was born.
REVIEW: Spanish Jam
Sounds like spanish jam to me. This must have been a great 3 night run. I
listened to Friday’s show this morning and Sat & Sunday shows this afternoon.
The morning dew on Friday’s show was stellar. I really like the sound of
Brent’s Hammmond. Great quality too!!!
REVIEW: Space>Spanish Jam>Other One
The space > Spanish Jam > Other One sequence is nearly identical to 6/30/87 (
same effects and everything). But 6/30 is certainly the better show of the two.
This is good too though.
Reviews from other recordings:
REVIEW: Goin’ Back to San Anselmo…
This was my only Birthday show! It was a fantastic night with many friends
that I have not seen in years. The band was fantastic! Everything was just
right. The Other One rocked! Stella Blue was very intimate as we all held
hands behind the board. Tom Thumb’s Blues was a special treat!
REVIEW: great show
this show smokes
REVIEW: Solid 87′
I really like this West L.A. Great energy. Jerry’s guitar playing is exciting, and tight.Bob’s slide on Rooster is ear piercing. Brent’s organ on Rooster worth not skipping the track.1987 has so many good sounding shows.
