A new Wendy’s has opened up on Lakewood Ranch, to the disappointment of residents in the area who are advocates of food justice. Construction on US 41 will have lasting impact on the mobility of Sarasota, and the potential addition of bike lanes could set a precedent in this community. Florida state representative, Jane Goodwin, and the Sarasota Brady Campaign have teamed up for a vigil this weekend raising awareness of gun violence.
