REVIEW: American Experience C1979
Dayum folks! Step right up for a masterpiece of a recording/matrix and a spectacular window on Americana
circa 1979. The commentary in the crowd, “We didn’t pay 11 bucks to see you standing in a room!”; the polka
vibe and spectacular detail in the vocals really make this a must have. From the get go CRS kicks off a solid
shining performance. Garcia chills with his inspired precision. Clapper’s choice with Scarlet drifts into a
staccato typewriter assault in Fire building into an incredible fury before the Scarlet reprise. After that, it is a
blur of gems that build to another frenzy in trucking’ that has the whole place goin’ apeshit. All that before
drums! Spaceship then launches into Wharf Rat, melting to the core. The energy somehow continues into a
blistering JBG.
Of course US B’s is the capper for the American Experience

From other recordings:
REVIEW: Major Truckin’/ Major Phil
Lot’s of rumblin’ Leshtastic bass on this one. The set list is kinda loopy. Truckin’ is one of the best rocked out
versions I’ve heard. Watch out! It’s real all-timer. IMHO. The rest of the show doesn’t quite rise to the same
level. There’s kinda on off-kilter/shifty vibe to this show. Very interesting.

Best Truckin’ ever. Not on anyone’s radar (or in teh books/reviews), too…

REVIEW: Brent’s show?
I get a groove of Brent throughout this show.
It’s pretty cool. I wouldn’t have found it, Sirius played it. Catch it

REVIEW: Classic 79 Dead!
Spectacular show and great audio! Love LIG/He’s Gone/Truckin” Saw my first show in Spring 79 as a wee
junior high schooler! What a great year and a great turn for the Boys upon enlisting Brent! And Jerry and Bob
still sing beautifully! Groovy days

REVIEW: awesomeness!!!
Say NO MORE>>>>>Truckin…amazing…JB goode and us blues…the house was officially torn down…listen
up, this is HOT!

This is the best my ears have ever heard! Brent and Bobby are back and forth the whole way.

This is one of, if not THE best Truckin’ ever!! Great energy!!!
