Joining us tonight will be Dennis Banks and Wahde Galisgewi.
Dennis Banks, a Native American leader, teacher, lecturer, activist and author, is an Anishinaabe born on Leech Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota. Mr. Banks is also known as The Ojibwa Warrior He has been a longtime leader of the American Indian Movement, which he co-founded in 1968 with Native Americans in Minneapolis.
Wahde (Wahday) Galisgewi (galeesgehw) Ryan Mackey, has lived most of his life in the Cherokee Nation. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Native Studies and is a strong advocate for native language and cultural revitalization. He has worked professionally in this field for 15 yrs.
