It is spring fundraising time and The Surreal News is honoring its listeners and contributors with two of the show’s favorite guests covering issues ripped from today’s headlines. Stephen Spaulding (above) from Common Cause will be joining Steve and Lew to give us the inside scoop on the Stormy Daniels affair (pun intended) and the Common Cause complaint to the Federal Election Commission about the hush money paid to her by Trump lawyer Michael Cohen. But wait, there is more. Apparently the doorman at Trump tower was also paid to keep quiet about an alleged affair (and resulting child) Trump had with one of the cleaning crew. That money was also an illegal campaign contribution and has caught the attention of Common Cause.
Later, former CIA analyst, whistleblower, author and professor, Mel Goodman will be on the discuss the Mike Pompeo switch from CIA director to Secretary of State, John Bolton’s appointment to National Security Adviser, the upcoming meeting with North Korea, and perhaps what the President was signaling when he pardoned Bush official Lewis “Scooter” Libby who illegally and dangerously identified a CIA agent to get back at her husband who wrote an op-ed debunking the Bush administration claim that Iraq had nuclear weapons.
