“Yesterday’s Dead Today”, Monday, April 24th, 7-9pm Eastern

Written by on Sunday, April 23, 2023

I’ve seen thousands of reviews over the years, but this actually explains “A Deadhead”…
“REVIEW: stella
As a new fan of the Dead it was years before I realized the importance of the tears streaming down
the face of the girl beside me. She seemed to be having a religious experience. Now I know why”

REVIEW: like the greatest story
everyone is playing strong

REVIEW: Solid show!
The first set is good with a couple of gems.Bird song and ramble on rose stand out for me.set 2 is
much better with more steam in my opinion.Solid show all around.

REVIEW: No mas!
Last show in New Haven. Great, grubby little New England hockey arena. Really solid jamming
this night, standout Birdsong, China/Rider, killer Other One w little Eleven hints at end jam! Phil
dominated this one. Fun times. Freaks were pitting Wesson oil in the hallway corners to swirl
around on!!

REVIEW: –
Businesslike 1st set, really dynamic & tight 2nd.

REVIEW: Fun show
From what I remember, but getting out of the circular parking deck was always a challenge. Goin
round and round indeed

REVIEW: bread crumb
So, it’s very difficult to research It’s All Over Now on the archive because the search engine
co-mingles Baby Blue results. The Stones did the most famous cover of this song, but I’ve always
enjoyed the Dead’s version too. It’s kind of a goofy, happy sort of tune about a sad subject. Right
in the Dead’s wheel-house.

REVIEW: Stella set!
Love it, this was the day of my birth 24 years and one day ago. Sick China-Rider and He’s gone.
Sugar Mag’s amazing too.

REVIEW: Phil drives The Other One
I remember being at this show and digging Phil’s bass sound during The Other One. A fine
version, definately worth a listen.

REVIEW: Best source of half….
and a truly crushing Other One w great intro and exit jams! Stella a bit fast but good too! Fun
show w Phil leading the charge this night. New Haven was a classic NE venue!
