History of WSLR and Meals on Wheels on Peace & Justice Weds., Nov 11 at 9am

Written by on Monday, November 9, 2020

On Wednesday November 11 at 9am our first guest was Arlene Sweeting, cofounder of WSLR+Fogartyville. Arlene talked about the 15 year history of WSLR and Fogartyville. You can listen at archive.wslr.org, but, even better, you can hear it and see her slides by going to the WSLR+Fogartyville Facebook page.

On the second half of our show our guest was Marjorie Broughton, Executive Director of Meals On Wheels of Sarasota, Inc. Help out by contributing or volunteering.

By the way, on Tuesday November 10 at 7pm, on the WSLR+Fogartyville Facebook page we held a live interview with author and writer John Nichols of The Nation magazine. Arlene and I hosted. John has been on our Peace & Justice show twice and has also spoken in person at Fogartyville. He talked about the election and the future of our country. It’s an excellent talk by a respected progressive and author. Please check it out on the WSLR Facebook page.
