This Wednesday 9/6/17 we’ll talk in the studio with Carrie Seidman, a reporter, critic and columnist for nearly forty years, and since 2010 with the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. She’ll talk about her year-long effort called FACEing Mental Illness: The Art of Acceptance, a collaborative art project aimed at reducing discrimination against those with mental health conditions and creating a supportive, inclusive community. We’ll also talk to people from the National Immigration Law Center – NILC.ORG and weareheretostay.org about the cancelling of DACA
The DACA program protects 800,000 immigrant youth from deportation and gives them freedom to work and live life. They are in school, and working hard. They are our friends, our classmates, our co-workers and neighbors. It may be yourself. Trump just gave a deadline of March 5th, 2018 for Congress to take action and pass legislation.
