David Cobb (above) a former presidential candidate and longtime activist advocating for the limit of the influence of money in politics will be joining Steve and Lew to update us on the Move to Amend movement. That grassroots effort seeks to overturn the Supreme Court Citizen’s United decision, which opened the flood gates of corporate cash for candidates by giving corporations the same rights as individuals. Allowing more money in politics, how’s that been working so far?
Also, a taped interview with Paul Alan Levy, an attorney with Public Citizen will explain an effort by that group to prevent the government from running roughshod over First Amendment rights on the internet by ordering a website to reveal the identities of people who visited it to learn about legal protests of the inauguration this year.
