The Florida House is considering a bill that would require unions to have at least 50 percent  of their membership paying dues or face decertification. Of course, Florida is a “right-to-work” which makes it illegal for a union to require a worker to pay dues as a condition of employment. Joanne McCall (above) President of the Florida Education Association, the largest teachers’ union in he state, will  join Steve and Lew to explain why this bill is nothing more an attempt by some lawmakers to bust unions in this state. And why unions are important, generally more often than not for the forgotten people who will be forgotten no more.

Later, Julia and Uriel from The Council of Immokalee Workers (CIW) will update us the important work that organization is doing some of the most vulnerable among us.
