As anyone looking up in downtown Sarasota knows, there is a lot of high-rise building going on. Among largest projects is the Vue condominium project at US 41 and Gulfstream Avenue, which has inspired much public debate and the formation of STOP!, a group protesting the way projects like the Vue can be approved without voter and resident approval. Kate Lowman (below) and Michael Lasche from STOP! are joining Steve and Lew in the studio this week to talk about how that organization wants to add some specific code changes to those kinds of projects to make them more people-friendly.
