This Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 9 am we’ll interview City Commissioner Jen Ahearn-Koch and several other officials about the repeal of the civil cannabis citation program in Sarasota. Then we’ll talk to Dr. Haywood Brown of USF about racial inequities in health and healthcare.

This Wednesday we’ll talk to Pat LaMarche and Cheryl Brooks, two of the eight authors of American Roulette, a new novel about a mass shooting. Then we’ll talk to two of the Tampa Bay Five, USF students and members of the Tampa Bay Students for a Democratic Society arrested in March.

November 29 at 9am our guest will be WSLR’s Jono Miller, President of NCF Freedom. We’ll talk about the organization’s  lawsuit opposing Florida law SB 266 and its discrimination against protected speech. Then we’ll talk to returning guest Bruce Gagnon, Coordinator of the Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in Space. He’ll talk about Gaza.

This Wednesday, 9 am: We’ll talk to Beth Duda of the Suncoast Campaign for Grade Level Learning. Then, we’ll interview Denise Rock of Florida Cares about prison reform.

Coming up this Monday, Nov. 20, 9 am! Interview with the authors of a book who argue that, instead of focusing on how to save civilization, we should learn to live within the limits of the biosphere.

We’ll talk to Jennifer L. Shafer, the Co-Executive Director of the Science and Environment Council.  Author Carl Hiaasen will be the keynote speaker at this year’s EcoSummit – December 5th and 6th at the Van Wezel. Two days full of environmental experts, storytellers, and live music!

Strongmen: Mussolini to the Present – We’ll chat with author Ruth Ben-Ghiat. She’ll also be at the Preserve Democracy Expo at the UU church November 11 at 4pm.
